Although the structural integrity of our cages are built to last the paint finish over time tends to fade due to our unforgiving climate. Product: Perfection Deco Columns and Arch Systems are a hard foam formed product with a stucco or stone finish. This system has been utilized in a construction industry for many years. The decorative bands you may have on your home are probably foam bands finished in a sand stucco finish. We simply add additional aluminum framing; design and laser cut the foal to form the custom Perfection Deco columns and square or arch panels finishing with a hard durable stucco or stone finish painted to match your home. We than adhere the newly formed panels to your existing screen enclosure creating an unbelievable, very durable new look.

We can also install various designs on the interior wall areas including dolphins, lion heads, trees or whatever your personal preference. Quality Counts When Your Home and Saftey are at Stake

The company that fabricates the shutters must be approved by the national accredited and management institution (NAMI) to ensure the shutters are fabricated per the required specifications for quality assurance. Once the company is approved, they are issued NAMI quality assurance labels with the Florida product approval number listed for the shutters. These labels are required to be applied to every shutter installed for confirmation by the county code compliance inspector and insurance company inspection in wind mitigation to insure the shutters installed are certified for hurricane protection.

All Shutters are not created EQUAL: Most companies do not fabricate the shutters they sell, for several reasons, from lack of experience and our equipment. In addition, prefabricated shutters are less expensive to purchase compared to the cost associated with the proper fabrication designed for a specific installation. Perfection Aluminum designs and fabricates our own entire roll and accordion shutter lines for quality installations ensuring our shutters are the best available, guaranteed. We are a nationally accredited company for fabrication and have issued our NAMI certification and quality assurance labels for our shutters. We are also My Florida Home Safe approved contractor and provide an unlimited 5 year warranty with all our installed shutters. I started my career installing hurricane shutters on the east coast of Florida in 1977 with Folding Shutter Corporation which is still operation today. The basic design and operation of the shutters I installed over 30 years ago are relatively the same as today’s design and operation. Most of the jobs I installed in the 1970’s are still in operation today providing hurricane protection. The roll and accordion shutters we fabricate and install are proven long term solution to your hurricane protection needs.

Are Fabric Shutters a Solution?

What about Fabric Shutters? Some companies offer this product at a cost savings over aluminum shutters. Although the fabric products are an attractive alternative financially, I am not a believer of a fabric type of hurricane protection in the form of roll or bolt on applications for several reasons.

1.       Fabric protection is a new concept that has not been proven long term for durability in the harsh south Florida environment.

2.       Fabric will allow some weather through its protection barrier and does have an enormous deflection as much as a 36” bow in hurricane force testing. Meaning a glass separation eliminating glass breakage should be considered in designing the installation in addition to a furniture separation on a lanai application.

3.       Will the fabric protection some companies offer still be operational 30 years from now? 20 years? 10 years? 5 years?

4.       Will the fabric really give you the protection you and your family will be relying on with that the hurricane makes land fall?
